Your Presence does not Matter but Absence is Matters

Your presence should not be what people find amiss but your absence. Did you know that other people work very hard to make their presence felt whilst their absence is never noticed? Think about it.

Everyone would notice a lunatic’s presence yet when they are away they feel peace and never miss the moment. Think of past leaders and celebrities that have run their term and those that are late. Do you miss their presence or their absence is felt?

I have a few suggestions: Think Michael Jackson, Sadam Husain, Muammar Gaddafi, Luther Vandross,  King Shaka, the old time Hitler, Whitney Houston, John Banyan, Margaret Thatcher, William Shakespeare, Stanley Matsebula, etc.

How about the living: George Bush, Bill Clinton, Musa Dube, yourself, etc.

Don’t you think its a good objective of life to make people miss you for what you could have done to help than to disrupt proceedings? I bet there are people whose family are happier without their presence that when they are present. You may think this does not matter but since we need each other in life, you also may find yourself in need of the next person whom you trouble such that they never miss you.

When you have time to browse for anything that comes to mind without having a purpose for it, it can be dangerous to the Christian. I suspect you already know why possibly because you may have found yourself falling for some sin just because you started wondering through the many pages of the internet.

The internet can be a good catalyst to robbing off your employer the time he or she pays you at work. Many of us, day job employees, do not have personal internet connectivity at our own places but largely rely on the employer internet to do this and that. Some of the websites are bad to view, watch its video clips and listen to its audio.

A Christian would know the things that are grieving to the Holy Spirit and avoid them. The Christian should therefore avoid mixing the two; idle time and the internet.

Working at Promoting Christian Bookshop

I really find it  a challenge selling the stock I have at my bookshop. I will be putting an image of how my shop looks later. Yes it is small but it exists to let me acquire a trading licence since it is a requirement in Swaziland.

What I have done is excellent because it is a savings yet powerful to pull sales for my work (see the shop stock and how to order). I have branded my one car for the two services I offer at the shop; Christian bookshop and Photography agency. I have dedicated this car for the business going forward. We do need to be visible in the market and therefore will be participating in the Swaziland International Trade Fare. The car will be a moving billboard.

Struggling with sin – God can help

Sin is a snare and many people have one weak point for sin. I have seen people struggle to stop smoking, drinking, womanizing, telling lies, etc. but doing good in other aspects. This is where the devil triumphs – ‘You many win in other ares but fail in one or two’. The devil knows that it takes only one sin to lead to hell, his greatest desire.

In the Bible, we are given examples of people that were in tempting situations but would not for sin because they did something about. I’m reminded of Joseph and Potiphar’s wife, Joseph was wise enough to understand the intent of the old woman and knew the right time to action. I have written an article to that effect ‘Ultimate power to conquer sin – pull the plug!‘.

I know God can help if you are willing to be assisted. It takes an effort on your side as well. God cannot overpower your will but can only help you where you are unable to control and see. I know for many it takes time to turn around but sadly, the longer the time one takes to do things right, the more the danger of dying in the wrong place.

I pray for you to gain strength to overcome the sin that you struggle with. Pray for yourself too and God will listen and assist you only if you are sincere.

Inappropriate ads on this blog same as bribery?

Now the ads concern is hitting me when inappropriate ads display in my articles. I put up this blog with the aim of keeping my website active as it is a good thing for SEO for me to do. I put automatic ads from Google on the pages so to make money on the side if anyone happens to click on them. The question that then comes to mind is that, ‘am I not in the same pit of temptation with the Christian that bribes to get business or money?’ I feel bad to see some ads that promote non-Christ like living on my articles but some ads are good. What would be your comment?
