Once you call yourself a Christian you have indirectly called out for public attention on how you live your life. I’m sure this website is a good example of how the word Christianity can create expectations of how the site should look and what it should address. Generally, all people even those that are not Christians know how Christians should live their lives. It is for this reason that I want to give tips for those that want to do their best at work and still maintain a good testimony of their Christian living.

Tips are not at any time conclusive but an addition or reminder to what would help achieve a particular goal. These are what I personally have applied and found them working for me and probably they will work for you too.

Don’t be diverted by personal interests while at work. If you can, don’t bring your personal laptop at work because it is one factor to diverting from what you are expected to do at work. Avoid calling friends and making follow ups on your recent meetings, services or even church events. Even if you do have a chance to testify about your religion, make it snap and be ready to discuss it later during your own spare time with whoever has interest in what you say.

Don’t shadow your work with your Christian beliefs. This is more of an attitude issue than a habit. Work as if you were not Christian and adhere to all rules and procedures that do not conflict with your religion. Don’t be lazy to do your work just because you can make an acceptable excuse for not participating. It has unfortunately become a common practice for people not to fully participate because of their religions. Watch out that you don’t abuse Christianity.

Be a good listener. If you cannot take instructions correctly, you may find yourself rated low in your performance. Whatever you do, or whoever you are talking to, do yourself a favour by given him or her your utmost attention. Don’t do something else on the side while you are engaging with someone else.

Christians believe that their jobs are given by God and therefore should always be mindful to honour and represent Him appropriately. Living a Christ like life is not always easy but if you make an effort it will show to those that are looking on and it will benefit not only you, but will serve as a testimony for who we believe in.
